Lynn Barnes

I am the retired founder of Kellman Barnes Financial Planning having dedicated over 42 years to the financial services industry. My journey began in 1982 when I joined my father to establish Wright and Barnes Investments. Throughout my career, I have prided myself on honesty and an unwavering commitment to putting my clients first. It was a privilege to serve my clients, and I cherished hearing their stories and helping them achieve their goals through the ups and downs of life.

As a lifelong resident of Schenectady County, I had the unique opportunity to work with multiple generations of families, often serving grandparents, children, and grandchildren. This continuity and connection brought immense satisfaction to my work. I held the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and was an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Northeastern NY, where I first became acquainted with Travis.

Now retired, I reside in Duanesburg, NY, with my husband David. We have two wonderful children, Eric and Jane, and are blessed with three grandchildren: Greta, Aleda, and Patrick James. Outside of my professional life, I am passionate about my church and enjoy volunteering both locally and on national committees.
